DIY wedding dreams - Hannah & Hugo

An absolutely beautiful day in the garden of Hugo’s family. They got married outside the font of the property and had a marque up on the grass for the wedding breakfast.

I love these private ‘stay at home’ weddings as they are so personal, full of love and joy of being near to the place that means the most to the couple. After the ceremony we wandered around the fields and woods near the property, along paths that Hannah and Hugo walk regularly.

It was wonderful to hear stories of their time in the house, planning the wedding, and their day to day lives in a place they adore.

And what is even better is they have made more memories in a special place. This is just a small collection in a random order which I believe captures the day. Enjoy!

The Priory Wedding - Siobhan & Russel

Siobhan & Russel were a last minute wedding booking in 2021. On my birthday, 20th August!

Their original plans squashed by covid restrictions, they changed up their day and got married in Newport registry office (outside) and then an evening party do in The Priory in Newport. They had a handful of people for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, then they took over the outside space for the night, as guests kept appearing throughout the evening.

From changing into a second dress, matching louboutin shoes, sneaking in chocolate digestives, and pizza! It couldn’t be more perfect.

All the tiny details were thought through despite the last minute change up of plans and it was relaxed, fun and full of energy!

The Bear Hotel Cowbridge Wedding - Beckie & Aaron

Another day, another wedding at The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge South Wales! I live down the road so it is always amazing just being able to walk to work! Beckie & Aaron booked me YEARS ago so it was amazing to actually go ahead and finally capture their day! Working along side some amazing vendors (and must mention Beckie & Aaron’s fabulous friends and family!) made the day a complete blast!

Treberfydd House Wedding - Jusyna & Callum

Had the honor of capturing Jusyna & Callum’s beautifully personal day at Treberfydd House in the Brecon Beacons in autumn 2021.

They honestly made me feel like a part of the family, being a day with their only their closest people. It was relaxed and fun. They also had the best weather with the most amazing sunset!

Lanelay Hall Wedding - Laura & Alex

Laura & Alex got married during the heatwave in Wales over the summer. Not that they planned it, but they appreciated the dip in the outdoor pool at the end of the day (which took little convincing!)

Their wedding day was an explosion of colour! From flowers to the cake, there were colours everywhere.

Laughing and smiling at every moment, even when the best man dropped the ring a the church, they were both a joy and honour to work with! I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

Hensol Castle Micro Wedding - Bryony & Steve

This was my first micro wedding where the bride and groom moved the date very last minute! The weather ended up being better than the original date! The best part was seeing the absolute love the father of the bride had for his daughters. An absolute honour to capture this amazing family!

Nirosha & Dafydd London Lockdown Wedding

The clue is in the title!

I drove to London to capture the beautifully creative day of Nirosha and Dafydd! We met when I did their engagement photo shoot in around Caerphilly castle over a year ago (which involved many outfit changes and different coloured balloons!)

They got married in Temple Church and we had free reign of inner temple for photos and then to middle temple for a picnic and more photos! Also manged to capture a wonderful sunset on the Victoria Embankment over the Thames.

Here is a collection of my favourites from the day! Completely in love with this set <3

Sophie & Daniel - A lockdown wedding of dreams!

Sophie & Daniel hired me for a half day wedding from the beginning. Then with covid happened, getting in the way, they moved it forward by two months. As not much would change, they went ahead with their stunning day!

It was relaxed, full of happiness and joy! I wasn’t in the church for the ceremony as I wasn’t part of the numbers allowed at the time. It made me sad, but tried to make up for it with the family gatherings outside.

Here is a basic run through of what went down outside the church. Then we did their private photos inside Coity Castle, Bridgend.

Llanerch Vineyard Wedding - Emily & Jake

Here’s the teaser selection of the glorious day of Emily & Jake! Very difficult to choose which ones to share out of the whole album!

The most beautiful flowers (From best buds), the best M&S Caterpillar wedding cake, live band to die for, and somehow convinced the entire marque of guests to leave for sparklers at the end of the evening!

Enjoy!

Summer Sunset Photo Shoot with Emily & Jake

Carrying on with the importance of pre wedding photo shoots, and practising for your big day! We were so lucky with this absolutely fabulous sunset down Southerndown Beach.

Getting Emily and Jake warmed up for their wedding last year and they smiled through this entire photo shoot and their wedding. The pre shoots are also good for me so I can see what you are like in front of the camera and I know what I’m working with ready for your special day.

Every pre shoot is different and I go with the flow on how comfortable you both are.

But guaranteed you’ll get beautiful images at the end!

That sunset though! dam…
