DIY wedding dreams - Hannah & Hugo

An absolutely beautiful day in the garden of Hugo’s family. They got married outside the font of the property and had a marque up on the grass for the wedding breakfast.

I love these private ‘stay at home’ weddings as they are so personal, full of love and joy of being near to the place that means the most to the couple. After the ceremony we wandered around the fields and woods near the property, along paths that Hannah and Hugo walk regularly.

It was wonderful to hear stories of their time in the house, planning the wedding, and their day to day lives in a place they adore.

And what is even better is they have made more memories in a special place. This is just a small collection in a random order which I believe captures the day. Enjoy!

The Priory Wedding - Siobhan & Russel

Siobhan & Russel were a last minute wedding booking in 2021. On my birthday, 20th August!

Their original plans squashed by covid restrictions, they changed up their day and got married in Newport registry office (outside) and then an evening party do in The Priory in Newport. They had a handful of people for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, then they took over the outside space for the night, as guests kept appearing throughout the evening.

From changing into a second dress, matching louboutin shoes, sneaking in chocolate digestives, and pizza! It couldn’t be more perfect.

All the tiny details were thought through despite the last minute change up of plans and it was relaxed, fun and full of energy!

Lanelay Hall Wedding - Laura & Alex

Laura & Alex got married during the heatwave in Wales over the summer. Not that they planned it, but they appreciated the dip in the outdoor pool at the end of the day (which took little convincing!)

Their wedding day was an explosion of colour! From flowers to the cake, there were colours everywhere.

Laughing and smiling at every moment, even when the best man dropped the ring a the church, they were both a joy and honour to work with! I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

Hensol Castle Micro Wedding - Bryony & Steve

This was my first micro wedding where the bride and groom moved the date very last minute! The weather ended up being better than the original date! The best part was seeing the absolute love the father of the bride had for his daughters. An absolute honour to capture this amazing family!

Sophie & Daniel - A lockdown wedding of dreams!

Sophie & Daniel hired me for a half day wedding from the beginning. Then with covid happened, getting in the way, they moved it forward by two months. As not much would change, they went ahead with their stunning day!

It was relaxed, full of happiness and joy! I wasn’t in the church for the ceremony as I wasn’t part of the numbers allowed at the time. It made me sad, but tried to make up for it with the family gatherings outside.

Here is a basic run through of what went down outside the church. Then we did their private photos inside Coity Castle, Bridgend.
