Before every wedding, I do a pre-wedding photo shoot with every couple. This is a great way to see what they are like in front of the camera! Most couples have never had their photo taken professionally so will obviously find their wedding photos weird and awkward! Doing this pre shoot is a good way to remove that issue.
I can see what triggers them to laugh, how they stand next to each other and what I can do to make them feel and look more natural for the photos. I help with posing and direction without over doing it. I want to make you feel as comfortable & look as naturally 'you' as possible.
The session can be as short or as long as they want - but they can see what I am like as well. You don't want to go through your wedding day thinking 'what on EARTH is this crazy woman doing'? whilst I'm laying on the floor and it looks like I'm not even pointing the camera at you. On the day, you're now used to me and far more comfortable to let me take your photograph.
You can make the shoots whatever you want them to be! A very large percentage bring their doggies along (or do I join them on their walk?) or their children and make it a mini family shoot. Either way, we're getting to know each other better with the camera in between.
Here's one from the end of May with Kathryn and Sean.
